Afghanistan’s cultural handicrafts and artefacts which includes jewellery, handwoven rugs, pottery etc. carry values and attachment of its culture and tradition. This industry is currently the only and best serving source of income for war affected families especially women who majorly run their families from the earring they receive from this industry. The women are working with great efficiency to sell handicrafts. These women are not channelized and needs some valuable platforms for recognition and acceptance. And we are here trying to provide the same channel and recognition to these women, most of whom have lost their male members in the line of duty or got targeted by radical & extremist groups. Kainaat is shaped to share with you the heritage of the proud land of Afghanistan. kainaat’s products are not only an ornament to flaunt but it embraces the very essence of feminism and is able to lend a touch of unspoken sophistication to every woman’s wardrobe that emboss their culture in style. The beauty of these handmade jewelry pieces from Afghanistan is that each and every item is just as unique as the woman who is dazzling in it.

We also support the pandemic effected artisans of the country who just recently received some recognition for their art and skill across the world but COVID-19 pandemic drew them back to the same level. We work hard to personify the beautiful handicrafts of Afghanistan through the admiration of great artists in India and abroad. Being the third generation of our family we too aim to sow the seed of peace, opportunity and hope for the current and upcoming generations of Afghanistan.

And to provide more employment opportunities for women and empowering them because more than half of current women ratio in rural Afghanistan is managing their homes as head of their house.

Afghanistan has long been famous for its distinctive, skillfully made carpets, in the production of which only natural high-quality raw materials are used – wool of the purest workmanship and the finest silk threads. In ancient times representatives of each tribe roaming the Afghan land applied their own sacred symbols and patterns to their unique products sacredly preserving the secrets of carpet weaving. Today all the works of carpet makers in Afghanistan have some common distinctive style which makes Afghan carpets so exceptional and recognized all over the world. The Afghan carpets are combining tradition and modern fashion. The great art of carpet making came to Afghanistan from Persia during the great conquests. The Afghan artists quickly mastered this craft and brought a lot of new ideas of their own into it, invested a part of their free soul of nomads and brave warriors. Until now all Afghan carpets are woven only by hand. A strong cotton thread is taken as the basis and the carpet itself is made of finely crafted wool of young mountain sheep – soft long and very warm. The density of nodules is inconceivable as it comes up to 350 thousand per square meter. And now just like a millennium ago only natural and absolutely safe dyes are used for dyeing wool.
There are several popular varieties of carpets that differ in their place of origin, color design and stylistic execution. – Chubi are the most popular and considered the best carpets in the country, which have a rich palette of shades a variety of patterns and ornaments. – Andkhoy carpets made of an unusual material – doodle with a predominant red and dark blue color palette, a wide variety of ornaments. – Mazar-i-Sharif are special products made in light and red tones of the carpet field with patterns applied in shades of indigo and juicy orange. – Alti Bolak are famous carpets made of camel wool. – Baluch are carpets for religious rituals with a predominant monochrome small pattern with a mention of the Tree of Life. -Quarkvin – astrakhan Afghan carpets with animalistic patterns. Colors: indigo and black tone on a red background.
Authentic carpets from Afghanistan will garnish your home and bring coziness, comfort and warmth. We cooperate directly with manufacturing enterprises to make sure that you are getting the best quality products and supporting the artists who work hard with dedication to their craft.

I’m thrilled you’re here –because we’re a lot alike, you and me .We’re both trying to make a life we love out of what we do.

After 9 years of spending time imparting knowledge, I was a little bored with the monotonous life. A daily fixed routine gives me jitters .I wanted to take up something challenging. My outgoing personality and the zeal to do something new every day, led me to quit the teaching profession and start my own small jewellery venture, Kainaat Jewels.

And for a teacher turned entrepreneur, who spent a great chunk of her career working as a primary teacher and a social worker, who fulfilled little students’ diverse needs and seeing them blossom into happy lifelong learners is a forever pride that I hold close to my heart. But neither of us can avoid the fact that as a small business owner how stressful marketing your business can be. However a teacher is a keen learner throughout her life and that zeal will prosper along with Kainaat –

Having done my education in literature helped me understand the core meaning of one’s existence and its extensions with the world. And an ardent art admirer in me, led me to explore the ornaments of decoration for not only styling or fashion but the depth that goes in its making.

Kainaat Jewels, is an endeavor that protects, preserves and promotes artisans age old craft to the world through our store. An effort to create a market for the handcrafted products by educating the audience about the history of the crafts and the need to patronize not just the craft but the artisans communities that struggle to keep them alive.
